BrainStrong Kids – FAQs

Why should I supplement my child’s diet with BrainStrong?
To support brain, eye and nervous system growth and development, kids ages 4 to 12 need DHA. Based on their eating habits, you can’t expect kids to eat enough of the right healthy foods to get what they need from their diets.
How much DHA does my child need? What happens if their intake of life'sDHA™ exceeds the recommended amount?
The Institute of Medicine of the National Academies recommends a daily dose of 90 mg-120 mg of DHA for children from 4-12 years. On average, children may get as little as 30-60mg per day from the foods they eat. Taking more than the recommended amount should not be harmful. Numerous studies on safety and efficacy of DHA, specifically at doses ranging from 26-5900 mg, have shown no adverse effects.
Besides giving my child BrainStrong, do I have to supplement their diet with an additional multivitamin?
Not necessarily. Along with DHA, one BrainStrong Kids gummy includes a multivitamin with essential vitamins beneficial for kids.
Is there a best time to take BrainStrong Kids?
There is no specific time of day when it is best to take BrainStrong Kids. It does not need to be taken with food.
At what age is it appropriate to give the child the Kids supplement versus the Toddler supplement?
BrainStrong Kids is appropriate for children at an age when a child can safely chew and swallow a gummy.
